I just found out that my eARTh Bowls were on the front page of etsy on Earth Day. I was also featured in the Esty Finds section of the Storque. Here is a link to that http://www.etsy.com/storque/spotlight/etsy-finds-home-sweet-home-3815/

eARTh Day Giveaway
Congratulations to Debby the winner of my eARTh Bowl Giveaway. I was thrilled to learn that Debby is an art student and a potter. Debby has a blog of her own called Mud, Pies and Pots. She was nice enough to blog about my contest there and so she got an extra 10 entries.
Purple Trinket Trays in a Treasury
My little purple trinket trays are in an etsy treasury today. I think they look great along with these other purple and green etsy items. This treasury was created by Adictaaloscomplemnts's who is an etsy artist from Spain. She has a wonderful etsy shop and I especially like this little heart necklace of hers. I have have everything ready for my eARTh Day Giveaway Extravaganza today. I had over 350 entries. I am waiting for a friend to stop by today so she can videotape the actual drawing. I will post the results here later today. I am so excited to see who the winner is.

New Trinket Trays
Here are some more new handbuilt pieces. These little trays were made from rolled slabs and impressed my stamps. This is a new glaze and I think it is a keeper. I like the way it settles into the low spots. I made a bunch of these trays in a variety of colors. I just listed some in my etsy shop. Some of the trays I glazed in multiple colors and then wiped the glaze off a bit. Well, I wiped off too much and now the finish is really plain so I am going to dip them in a clear and refire them. I have been making lots of pots lately. I am getting ready for our Mother Earth show at Eclectics next weekend and I am also trying to fill up my shop a bit. I got another dozen eARTh bowls out of the kiln yesterday. My eARTh Day giveaway is still in progress with over 200 entries so far. This weekend I am heading to St. Louis for my daughter's dance competition. My sister lives there and I was looking forward to a visit, but I just found out she will be here in KC for her daughter's Lacross tournament. Maybe we can wave as we pass each other on I-70.

Indigo Girls Treasury
I was recently featured in this beautiful treasury entitled "Indigo Girls" by etsian handjstarcreations Thanks for including my indigo mug, it was a lovely treasury.
Wall Vases
I have been doing a little handbuilding and as always trying new glaze techniques. I posted about these a while back and was concerned that they looked too much like ice cream cones. I think the glaze took care of that and now they look like sweet little wall vases. They are made from porcelain slabs and impressed with a variety of stamps; flowers, birds, leaves, eyeball, numbers. I glazed them in pastel glazes and wiped away some of the glaze. The were fun to make and look really cute hanging on the wall. I think these would be great for Mother's Day. I made five, but two sold already. The others are available in my etsy shop which is looking so weird these days, tiki cups right next to these sweet little Victorian looking vases. My multiple pottery personality is showing.Tuesday, April 14, 2009
Skully Bowl and Fat Footed Love Tumbler
There are lots of goodies in the kiln. I don't have time to unload it all and photograph yet. I will have to do that Thursday. Here are a couple of items from the top shelf, one of a kind skully bowl and Love tumbler.Friday, April 10, 2009
Tumbler Glaze Testing

The first picture is of the ten tumblers I used in my last glaze testing. I am really happy with the results. I want to use them all, but I think I should focus on a handful of glazes, stick with them and just improve my form. Unfortunately, glazes are like potato chips and you can't have just one. So here I am adding even more color to my already color overloaded etsy shop. The second picture is one one of the tumblers using my new backdrop and some slightly adjusted camera settings. I think the photo tweeks really make the glaze pop. Thanks to Jeff Campana for sharing his photo knowlege.

Carved some more eARTh bowls and then this one for fun. He looks a little sad. Maybe some red glaze will cheer him up.
