It was a great day at
323Clay today. Nearly all of my studiomates were present so the place was full of creative energy. The studio owner, David Lee, kindly assembled a big wedging table in the studio I share with Kim Walsh. No more wedging on our knees! I spent the day mixing glazes for these test tiles. I used 18 different stains and tested them with a clear glaze and majolica glaze. I also used a little tip from
Tara Dawley and applied some of the glazes over a crystal strontium matte glaze. I have high hopes for these babies. We shall see what becomes of them on Friday.
